The following updates were not installed

Since Nov 17, I've not been able to install KB955069 fix. When I run the
installation I get "Some updates were not installed. The following updates
were not installed: Security Update for Windows XP (KB955069)." There is no
further error code or message. I've repeated tried to install the fix
(rebooting each time). I've also gone through a few of the general fixes
(that is, turning automatic update off, then reinstalling automatic update,
etc.) with no change to the error message. I'm running (SP3) on Windows Home
XP.
