Error messages that you may receive when you try to download and install updates from the
Windows Update Web site, from the Microsoft Update Web site, or from a WSUS server:

When accessing the Update site, you receive the 0x80240020 error.

Yes, it's the first one. But IE runs as Admin and registry entries are
good. Workaround this situation is good, but it's better to use WU to
receive all the updates not only critical :-( Any other thoughts?

If you just reinstalled Windows...

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation:
