I'm sure this has been question has been raised multiple times during this
beta, and all the ones preceding it... But I have to ask one more time, since
it is something I think everyone enjoys but still hasn't been put into the
final program.

Why aren't users of WLM given the option to choose any colour of the rainbow
for their font? We are stuck with the default 16 colour selection. I find it
weird how you can change your WLM theme to have any colour in the world, but
your text is constrained to 16 colours.

The only way I have been able to personalize my text to colours I want is
through the use of Messenger Plus.

Not that messenger plus isn't a good add-on, but that program should show
the WLM team what people are really looking for in the Messenger program.
Throughout the years the messenger team has responded. I think conversation
logging was BIG when it was finally an option.

I know the colour of font is small, but other than the display picture, it's
the main way of personalizing WLM to people you talk to through the program.

Ok, my rant is done. Kudos all around to all the beta testers and especially
to the WLM team for producing this awesome IM program!

Yep... It sucks

What you can do about it but is...

Click Start and Click "RUN"
Then, type in "regedit".

Look under

HKEY_CURRENtT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger \PerPassportSetings\########

Where ### is... is your Passport Number. If you want to know it, Look in
your History Folder, Default "My Documents>My Received Files" there should be
folders with your email unique identifier... so my email is augrunt@hot...

so it was augrunt######

Back to the Registry Editor,
Click your corresponding Unique Number.

Find IM COLOR

now... delete the eight zeros (black)... or eight digits

and input the HEX of your desired colour.

"i.e. FFFFFF for white and 000000 for black."
