Font transfer

My new vista machine is networked to my old XP machine. I have lost the
original disc for some of the fonts which are installed on the old machine.
Can I export those fonts from the old machine to the new machine?

Have you tried copying the fonts from the
fonts folder in XP and pasting them into the
Vista fonts folder?
