Fontext.dll and desktop.ini corruption

Am having font problems. Would greatly appreaciate suggestions for correcting
them. Ran a SFC and found the following errors:

I understand that would be the case. However, I am having problems with fonts
which is why I've run SFC over several days to check for errors. The one in
my post is a consistent one. There are also two other errors related to Roxio
10 not included in the post.
I have the system set to show hidden files but do not see
\windows\fonts\desktop.ini. How do I eliminate the error shown in the CBS.log?

Amadeus47,
This does not deal with your problem directly, but may help you in viewing your CBS.LOG file.

Everytime you run sfc /scannow the new info is added to end of the exising cbs.log. Consequetly, cbs.log can grow to a cumbersome length.

In light of the above, I recommend deleting the CBS.LOG file prior to running SFC /Scannow.

Thanks, Karl. I am aware of how big the CBS.log can get.

Would appreciate any interpretation of what I am seeing and how I can
correct font issues if this is indeed the source of the problem.

We're both looking for the same thing. I would like to find an in-depth treatment of solutions to messages in cbs.log.

I've posted a message related to cbs.log wherein I inquired regarding my cbs.log (posts were from 15 and 18 of this month and still no answers).

Someone in the deep crevices of MS must have an idea that they put to paper.
