Force laptop to go 'online'?

Howdy-

Is there a way to force-sync a laptop to update its filesystem 'offline status'? Ex: a
laptop that has a sync relationship setup with a network share
1. undocks
2. does some work/modifications
3. re-docks

However, the offline folders *cannot* be forced to update themselves... Right-clicking
the Sync Center icon & choosing 'Sync All' does nothing. When you right-click the context
menu for some of these folders, the 'Sync' option is missing altogether.

No conflicts appear present & a very vague Error 'Unable to sync at this time. Please try
again' appears in the Sync Results view.

The only thing that appears to work is rebooting and logging back into the computer while
it is docked... This doesn't seem like a handy feature for mobile users who may want to
dock/undock without a major impact, especially if they want to keep apps/state open.

Is there something I'm missing?

TIA,
BM

Brian,

I don't think it is something you are missing, but it seems that many think you can go to the totally useless Sync Center. I can replicate the problem, and am having a regular problem with it. I am currently working remotely and while I don't need the files updated right now, it is stopping me from printing to my printer as it is on the same server. I was wondering if you ever found an answer. I have been working on finding that trick myself.
