Force mono for all WMP sound (mp3, CD, et al)

Hi,

In my workplace I listen to WMP for mp3's, CD's, etc. I have earbud
headphones and usually only use the right or the left earbud, not both. This
allows me to stay aware of my surroundings and if someone is trying to get my
attention, etc.

My earbuds are plugged into the front 'headphone jack' on the PC I use.

Is there a plugin or a setting within WMP that I can use/change to force all
sound (mp3, CD's, streaming, et al) to mono?

There are other media players that can do this but I prefer to stick with
WMP, especially at my workplace.
