Force Windows Update Install without SUS.

Ok I have a group of computers. I would like to tell Windows (all
versions) to install updates. I know, I can configure a time and day
of the week. But basically I would like to set it so updates install
when the user logs into their computer. Any way to make it so it
forces download updates to install. With an API call, command line
utility or registry setting.

Any Ideas?
