Am I a Vista Prophet? LOL I posted the exact same things yesterday...

Great Minds think alike. Great minds DO NOT LIKE VISTA!

http://news.softpedia.com/news/Forge...ws-70661.shtml

see list that this article is talking about here

In November 2006 and in January 2007, Windows Vista came to plug the gap
that stretched all the way back to the late 2001 release of Windows XP. But
with Vista still hot on the shelves, Microsoft was already looking ahead to
future versions of the Windows client. In this context, the Redmond company
had introduced, since late 2006, the Windows Early Feedback Program,
inviting all those that participated in the test driving of the beta
milestones for Windows Vista to deliver their input designed to impact the
next versions of the operating system.

Enlarge pictureVia the image included towards the bottom of this article,
courtesy of Neowin, you will be able to access an exhaustive list of the top
requests for future versions of Windows, centered of course on Windows Vista
SP1 and Windows 7.

What you have to understand is that the list provides an insight into what
end users want to see in Windows, and not what Microsoft will actually
deliver with its forthcoming releases of the platform. According to the last
count made public, former Vista beta participants had submitted
approximately 800 suggestions focused on new features, some 500 for features
that needed modification and almost 400 reports of malfunctions across the
operating system.

The feedback can equally affect both Vista SP1, in terms of softening the
rough edges of the platform, and Windows 7, when it comes down to additional
functionality, features and capabilities. At this time, Microsoft has failed
to disclose how user input would ultimately impact future versions of
Windows. Just access the image to the left in order to make an idea where
Microsoft might go with the development process.

Vista SP1 is currently in Beta stage, and by all indications heading
straight for the Release Candidate phase. The final version of the service
pack is planned for the first quarter of 2008. There are little details
available, related to Windows 7. Microsoft only confirmed that Vista's
successor would come in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavors and that the
operating system could be released in 2010.

-----------------------------

MY ORIGINAL POST

Microsoft is focusing on Windows 7. And here is why.....

The answer is simple....

Vista was a hacked down version of longhorn that was forced to be finished
in a hurry and was sent out with tens of thousands of bugs, because they
needed the revenue.

Lets face it.. Vista is a total disaster!

Think of vista as the Windows Millennium version of windows, that was an
intermediate edition that MS brought out only to fill the time gap between
windows98 and windows XP.
The quality if windows Me showed clearly how terribly it was planned...

Just like vista!

Now there is a stream of articles all over the internet about the new
version of windows, called for the time being as windows 7. But wait....
Vista is still an infant... why is MS focusing so much on windows 7?

The reason why is that they have realized that vista is unfixable.. they
wont even invest enough time and work force to make a proper service pack,
since MS themselves called SP1 for vista just a culmination of all fixes up
to the date of the release of SP1.

Since vista is horrible, its selling very badly despite the MS hype, and
everyone absolutely hates it, they are basically ditching it, and focusing
on the next thing.

I am VERY GLAD TO SEE THIS. Vista should be abandoned.. its a dead end..

But I am sure that after MS licks its wounds windows 7 will be what vista
should have been.
They are already talking about a lighter smaller kernel for windows 7,
this tells us that they acknowledge that vista is too bloated....

GOODBYE VISTA, WE WONT MISS YOU!

"Am I a Vista Prophet"
Is that is what you call someone who regularly creates fiction and
passes it off as facts?
Someone who twists facts beyond reality until it fits your Windows
Vista hate agenda?
However you are probably the only one that accepts you as a "Prophet"
since those are not appropriate definitions.

"Microsoft is focusing on Windows 7. And here is why"
"The reason why is that they have realized that vista is unfixable.. "
You assume a lot, and suffer the same fate as those that assume while
ignoring information that disagrees with your hate agenda.
You have no clue.
Windows 7 is simply the next version.
Microsoft is "focusing" on Windows 7 simply because it is the next
version.
Microsoft like all successful businesses is always working on the next
product.
Any organization making any type of product not looking ahead, is in
the last days of their final product.
Try to find a successful business that is not looking to their next
updated product/service.
Do Linux developers stop when a new version is released?
Do automobile designers stop when the new model is available?
However those facts do not fit with you blind hate of Windows Vista.

"since MS themselves called SP1 for vista just a culmination of all
fixes up to the date of the release of SP1"
That is the precise intention of a Service Pack, and you know it.
But that also goes against you hate agenda so you choose to ignore it.

"and everyone absolutely hates it"
How can "everyone" hate something while many do not?
Another completely FALSE statement by you.
You seem incapable of posting without posting your fiction for
everyone to accept as fact.
It is NOT your place to speak for "everyone" so you should stop.

"Vista should be abandoned"
Your inability to use something is no reason for it to be abandoned.
It is only a reason for you to use something else.
The many successful users deserve to use the product of their choice
just as you do.
A product should not be "abandoned" simply because you are unable to
use it.
Your idea to abandon something ignores others desires.
Very typical of you.
All for what you want ignoring others.

"GOODBYE VISTA, WE WONT MISS YOU!"
As usual you attempt to speak for others, that simply is not your
place so you should STOP trying.
As for being missed, true only because Windows Vista is not leaving.
Or are you saying you are leaving and will not miss anything?

Windows Vista works well on two older computers of mine as well many
others report similar success.
FACTS you are simply unable to dispute.

Jupiter,

As much as I hate to see these negative post as you do and I'm sure many
others as well, I think you just wasted a lot of finger energy on a
response. Just try and ignore these post and do what you do best and that is
helping others solve their problems.

All the best,
SG

Microsoft always plans the next two versions of major products such as
Windows and Office ahead of the current release, its very normal and nothing
surprising. Even Apple does it, they have trade marked additional cat names
for future versions of OS X code named Cougar and Lynx. Steve Jobs said
Leopard should drive faster upgrades to maket, so you can expect the next
release of OS X in 2009. So the industry is always 1 to 2 steps ahead.

In fact, Windows Vista which was formerly code named Longhorn was announced
in June of 2001, two months before Windows XP RTMed in August of 2001.
Microsoft had already discussed future versions of Windows such as
Blackcomb, which was renamed Vienna and now renamed Windows 7. So, there is
just no surprise here.
