Formatting: Highlight Function

I've checked the the help files and scanned the forums but cannot find
anything that mentions basic formatting. My problem is as follows: I am
composing a new email using the "default" text selection in HTML format. I
copied and pasted text from a website that included highlighting. Now, when
I try to continue typing my message, the highlighting is still there, even
though I did not select it myself.

The solution I am looking for is how to "turn off" this function so the rest
of my email will not be composed with highlighting.

Thanks,
JDDemro

P.S. Using WLM v. 2009 on Vista Ultimate w/SP2

I managed to "make it go away" on my own. However, I know I did not do it
"Properly", if there is such a way.

I went and backspaced back through the highlighted text then re-entered said
text manually. I then inserted 2 "carriage" returns to start a new
paragraph, thereby "bypassing" the highlighting. Afterward, I went back and
re-highlighted aforementioned text. After doing all this in such a
round-about way, I was then able to continue typing without the highlighting
"on".

If there is a simpler way to do this, as I am certain there was in this
programs predecessor, I cannot find it.

If you don't mind the temporary loss of html...switch to plain text, then switch back..the format the text to your liking.
