Formatting

i want to format my computer. i have windows sp1 cd. i upgraded my windows
to sp2 from windows update... formatting will loss sp2 and all updates, and i
will only have sp1 after formatting.... what should i do?

What should you do or what can you do?

If you format and reinstall WinXP SP1, you'll need to install SP2 and then
all post-SP2 updates.

Physically disconnect the computer from the network.
Do not reconnect until you have verified the firewall is functioning
properly.

Install Windows XP normally.
Then install SP-2.
Finally install all other critical Updates.

Better yet, slipstream SP-2 into your Windows XP CD:

Hi there,

Try formatting your hard disk, your computer is not something which can be
formatted


Order the SP2 cd from that can save you some time:
