Foxconn Motherboard CD - How to Use?

Might seem daft guys but here goes.

Foxconn Socket 939 m/b just installed. Blurb says CD starts up with install
guide screen and you then select all the necessary drivers etc.

Trouble is the CD is just a list of files various - no install/startup menu.

How do I tackle this?

Look for files named "setup.exe", "install.exe", etc. If no go install
hardware from the device manager or whatever they are calling it now. Have
it search CD whenever it needs a file.

There is of course, no install.exe or setup.exe but I will try going through
device manager.

I wish these manufacturers/retailers (probably the latter) would give you
what the blurb says - this is an unnecessary pain in the neck ..

Put the CD in the drive. Right click on the drive letter. "Open Autoplay"
should be one of the options. Can you run it that way?

Does the CD even contain Vista drivers? (I assume that you've posted to a
vaguely approrpriate newsgroup.) A Socket 939 mainboard isn't exactly
up-to-date hardware. I can imagine that the driver CD could pre-date Vista.
(Its label should mention which OSes are supported.)

You neglected to list the model of the board. I suggest that you go to
www.foxconn.com to see whether Vista drivers are available for it.

No CD has no label (blank) - This is my standby computer but worked fine
till m/b played up so don't need gamer standards.

I'll chase up the Foxconn site, first glance got me quite excited with Vista
chipset drivers labeled for download - till you click on it and all empty.

I'm sure I'll work something out eventually!!
