frameless windows

hey

just randomlly the other day my bordered windows (i.e the standard vista
borders) started showing. the usual 'hide' arrow button thing is missing too,
i cant find a setting anywhere else to get rid of them? am i heading for a
reisntall?

im using live messenger beta.
