Framework v2.0 - missing file?

Every time I run Norton to check for either Windows Registry problems and/or
just a Quick Check for maintenance purposes, I get the same 10 error messages
- that Framework 2.0 cannot find smvcr80.dll for various/sundry apps it's
trying to run. Now, when I allow an automatic fix, it seems to work - until
I run the check again - and the same error is there.

I tried uninstalling Framework 2.0 - downloaded it again - and the problem
just won't go away.

Any thoughts?
