I am trying to backup my Vista and the Win Complite PC backup is saying to me
that up to 26 GB of disk space is requriered. And this is confirmed by what I
see about the C: drive: about 27GB is used, about 45G is free, total is 70 GB.

But if I enter C: , select all the directories, right click, go to
properties I see only 13 GB is used. (Only c:\windows an c:\program files are
directories with lot of data)

How can I explain it? Thank you for your clarification...

hidden stuff like restore points and "shadow copies" (older versions of
files)
are the reason why you are seeing that difference...

Run "Disk Cleanup" and remove all bar the most recent system restore
point, in more options.
