I had a similar problem, mine froze at the very end, the second time I let
it run all night, but in the morning I had to switch it off and it rolled
back.
I finally did a clean install.
Not as bad as it sounds, the old installation is saved in a directory called
windows.old.
All the personal files and program files are there, you have to install all
the program files again though.
I am running Office 2007 beta on Vista Beta Pre RC1, on a new PC, Dell
Optiplex GX280, I built from new components bought on EBay, so it is all a
learning curve.
