Hello all,

I'm having a different FrontPage problem. When I publish to my website
provider the progress bar immediately goes to the end indicating that the
upload was completed, but a short while later I receive a message from my
webserver that it has timed out and the upload was not successful.

I can download from the website to my computer but not upload.

When I try to upload using another compuetr with XP Pro the problem doesn't
exist.

Has anyone encountered a similar experience or can clue me in to what is
causing my problem?

Are you using Front Page extensions or FTP.

Not all web hosts accept FP extensions.

If FTP try downloading FileZilla from www.sourceforge.net

It a great free FTP and easy to operate

here, but I don't use it, lol.

Hello folks,

Perhaps I didn't make things clear. I use FrontPage Extensions and as I said
in my original post, I can publish to my webserver using Windows XP on a
different computer as well as synchronize files from the remote website to
the local computer in the Vista configured system but I cannot upload on that
computer.

I recommend you post in the FrontPage newsgroups.
In the meantime, in IE, Internet Options under the security table, add the
following sites:

http://localhost
http://yourcomputername (using, of course, the name of your computer)
