Froze upon Installing

Hello,

My PC froze during the installation of the updates, so I had to reboot my
system. After restarting I went back to the Microsoft Update website to find
nearly everything failed to install...can anyone tell me where the folder is
for installing the updates?, as they downloaded successfully.

Enable hidden files, folders, and system files ... Control Panel, Folder
Options, View. Click Apply, OK.

Then look in WINDOWS\$hf_mig$ open the KBxxxxxx folder of each update,
then the " update " folder inside of that. Double click update.exe.

This is where they are on a system that AU is set to " Notify, but do
not automatically download or install ".

Hello Mow,

Thanks for your reply. I wonder could you please tell me in more detail
where to find the KB files as I've done everything you suggested and still
can't find them.

PS. they are definetly downloaded.

Did you enable hidden files, folders, and system files ?
The updates *should* be located in the WINDOWS directory inside of the
$hf_mig$ folder.( This being on an XP Pro system )
If not, look in the WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder.
