I bought a new laptop. I knew their were going to be problems with vista so i
requested xp. Dell wouldn't sell the particular model w/ xp (
unbelievable..., that's another story). Sure enough, only 3 days old and I've
spent all three f-cking days correcting problems online with Dell and
dredging the discussion groups for solutions. I wish you would guys would get
you f_cking act together when you release OS - now i have to deal with
1000.00 worth of equipment because it's not supported by XP - you guys a
bunch of a__holes with a capital FKY!

because of the frustration there's a correction to be made - the
compatibility issue is with Vista not XP which i wrote.

Because of the poor support and general bad quality of s/w (compared to
Apple... and i don't even like apple, that's gonna change). My businesses and
clients are all gonna change to Apple.

Go for it. I've got an Apple laptop and I think it's great. However, despite
those cute little adverts you've probably been watching, there are problems
with Macs as well. No system is perfect and when the Apple OS upgrade
appears real soon people will doubtless have a few problems with it just as
we did last time when apple released the Tiger update. If you start planning
now you can have a nice rant written up ready for that day and get a good
headstart on working out who you're going to threaten to switch to
afterwards as that will be Apple and Microsoft you're going to be refusing
to use after that.

As for the rest of your post, you direct your abuse to "you guys", in this
forum the "guys" would be other customers and people who are *volunteering*
to try and help people like you who are having problems. In my book, abusing
those people makes you the... now what did you say... oh yes "a bunch of
a__holes with a capital FKY!".

Why do you not blame Dell? They appear to be the people who have sold you a
copy of Vista installed onto a computer which cannot run it correctly.

Vista has a lot of problems but it also has people out there who are
apparently quite happy with it. I suppose that makes them a bunch of.. what
was it now.. "a bunch of a__holes with a capital FKY!" and you probably
think that pointing this out means that I'm also "a bunch of a__holes with
a capital FKY!" (incidentally, what _does_ that mean?) but there you go.

I get the feeling this guy is talking about software that is not working
correctly with Vista, I could be wrong. If that's the case don't blame MSFT.
I am very happy with Vista, and yes a few of the applications I like do not
work correctly but in time I'm sure that will be corrected. More and more
updates are coming out for software to make it compatible with Vista.

Goodness. If I were to rant off like that and later it turned out it was all
down to me installing software that won't work in Vista I'd be embarassed
like one heck of a "a bunch of a__holes with a capital FKY!" (uhh btw do you
know what that means?).

They blame MS because they are easier to attack even though thay may not be
the cause of their problem.

Been running Vista business since the very first hr after it was available
and not one problem whatsoever....I do agree with your response and if
people are going to think we are Microsoft maybe we should be getting
paid???

If he walked into a store like that, they would most probably ask him to
leave..

You are not alone my friend. Both MS and Dell no longer listen to customers
and dictate to us.
I also own an Apple and there are far fewer problems. As long as your
software works with Apple, you would be better off.
