Greetings Everett,

Well, why couldn't your friend just pop open the Display properties and set the resolution
back? Also, there is an outstanding "random event" where Messenger gets a compatibility
option turned on to change the resolution (in which case you just switch that compatibility
setting off).

for one simply reason , it's me that decide the settings of my computer, not
the software
i suppose it's my point of view.

Greetings,

Just have her click Start, then Run, and enter this:
%programfiles%\msn messenger
and then click OK.

Then right-click the msnmsgr.exe file, choose Properties, then Compatibility tab, make sure
none of the options are checked and click OK.

just try changing your screen resolution to 800 by 600 or 1024 by 768. that
should do the trick.

Hi,

It doesn't matter -- if you set compatibility mode when Messenger starts then the resolution
will change regardless of what it is now.
