I have vista home premium and internet explorer 7 and a Nvidia 8800 graphics
card.

On certain web sites The pictures appear distorted and fuzzy.

But if I right click on the picture and click on

"Show original image" the picture becomes clear.

How can I set my computer so that the pictures will always be clear/

Here is one web site where I found the problem.

Hi,

Do you have some internet accelerator software installed? Part of how it
works is reducing the size of image files causing them to look fuzzy.
Otherwise, I'd check the multimedia settings under tools/internet
options/advanced.

Hmm, have you updated your video card driver? Also is the Internet Explorer
7 'Change Zoom Level' located in the lower right hand corner of the IE
window set to 100%?

Are you using some sort of purported "web accelerator," such as
those advertised by NetZero, Netscape, and other cut-rate dial-up ISPs?
If so, the primary means used by these "accelerators" is to
significantly degrade the quality of images, in order to reduce download
times.

Thanks Bruce,

I just upgraded from dial-up to cable last week. I was still using the
dial-up "web accelerator."

Removing that solve the problem.

Good thinking,

PJ
