I have a fuzzy green black looking stem acroos my screen about 2/3 of the
way down on my screen. It doesn't move. It looks like it has a hook of some
sort on the right side. Also, in the upper left hand side of my screen there
is a black looking leaf blob or something. I have run my anti virus and a
spy checker and they come up with nothing. Any suggestions

Try the monitor on another system. It probably needs to be replaced.

I would try refreshing the video adapter driver, and monitor driver.

Control panel, Device Manager, highlight devices, Action menu 'Uninstall"
(do not delete drivers) then restart the laptop

There is not much left to try. Unless some graphic is in as your background,
or something like that, it looks like the screen in damaged in some way.
Only a repair shop could tell you.

What a shame. Dropped it ? or banged it hard ?
Look for a tech that won't charge you an arm and leg to replace the screen. The
manufacturer would probably be the least expensive. Or live with it.
