KMS subscription service -

This afternoon I walked pass a computer mall in Shenzhen.
Someone approached me and try to sell me a copy of Vista with KMS
subscription service.

On the "subscription form", there's a bank account number along with
activation instructions.
That famous...
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -skms server-ip-address
cscript C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ato

I was told that the IP address of their KMS server change once a week, as
long as payment received,
they will SMS me the updated ip address of their KMS server for next the 7
days and I must activate / reactivate my Vista Business by the due date
otherwise I have to pay for another KMS service. They said this will become
their long-term service.

Even a kid got his own KMS server -

In a local chatroom, I talked to a kid who just setup his own KMS server and
want to activate Business Vista for the public as he wants to be a hero. the
thing is, when I asked him for the IP address of his KMS server, he gave me
an internal IP, 192.168.xxx.x , he doesn't even know what Internal IP means.

The future of KMS -

KMS in Vista = Shanghai City Government Volume License Key in XP

******** END **********

Many many different ways you can get around..... But I am just curious what
is MS's response or reaction to activities like this in China. Are they
going to
do anything? Or maybe a bigger conspiracy theory is that:

1) MS realise that to sell in China, they need to lower the pricing of
their product significantly.....
2) But MS cannot do that officially as it will cause a disruption in
pricing in other regions (everybody will try to import from china.....)
3) So MS "SECRETLY LEAKED" the KMS to China and is behind the "Piracy
Organizations" so that they can sell the OS behind the scene?

****

as long as these activities only happened in China, it should be ok with
Microsoft.
but it seems that they now going abroad... then that's a different story.

In the days of XP, the Shanghai City Government Volume License keys were
only being used in China, and for nearly 2 years, everything's fine.
Until the keys spread all over the world, that's why they finally got
blocked.
(but within 48 hours after Shanghai keys got blocked, another few Volume
Licensed Keys went to the Chinese public and remain valid till now)

I heard that, a new version of WGA is coming to XP windows-update.
this new WGA comes with a new feature: Geographically blocked PID

means, a key only blocked if it's being used in a particular region.

I think that's a good news for China...
MS can keep those leaked keys valid in China while blocked them in the rest
of the world.

MS should refuse to sell anything to China in my opinion.

Since they're stealing the stuff already, just how much of threat can that
be?
