Some of you may have already known or see this, but if you have the G15
keyboard it can cause performance issues in XP and Vista. I was seeing
oddness under FEAR with Vista, but didn't see it with XP. After trolling
around the FEAR forums I found this article

I unplugged my G15 keyboard and my problems went away. I tried the fix of
disabling the HIDs, but that eased the problem to where the performance
isn't so sporadic, but hasn't tottally fixed it.
