Gadget and menu Vista problems I can't solve

I don't have the side bar but have the gadgets on the desktop on the
right of my screen. Every time I turn on the PC the gadgets have moved
a bit towards the center and I have to drag them back to the edge.
They move only a few pixels each time but they soon end up an inch or
so from the edge.

How can I fix them in place????

The other annoyance. I use the classic start menu and it is VERY slow
to fill. It or one of the sub-menus takes about 2 or 3 seconds for the
icons to appear after the menu has opened. Once it has filled it opens
quick next time but if I don't use it for a while it is slow to fill
again.

Any ideas???

Hi, Mary.

Which version of Windows are you running? The new Windows 7 beta has
gadgets, but no Sidebar. Is that what you are running?

I suspect, and am only guessing....

When you are using gadgets detached from the sidebar, they eithe

a. don't have a holding place (registry, ini, or config file) for th
corrodinate
b. When you start up, before you can see it, the screen starts off at
smaller resolution and then blows up to full res, so the borders pus
the gadgets off thier origianl mark

Again, just guessing and both of these theories could be completel
wrong

There is a sidebar image that is invisible if you don't like th
graphic that may prevent this problem. But you will need to find it

You may need to use the Stardock Desktop Objects for this
