My sidebar is displaying the clock and temperature as solid blocks.
With Internet Explorer I can not view Windows Live Hotmail, I get a blank
screen.
Javascript buttons do not function.
Not sure if a device installed wrong or Macafee Security deleted something.

Any idea of a remedy?

Sounds like they may well all be the same problem - ie scripts being blocked
from running.

Check the options in McAfee Security for any script blocking features.

If this is a recent issue, you might try using System Restore to take you
back to a time prior to when this began. While System Restore is meant to
only restore your settings and registry to a specific point in time, as a
precaution, your data should be well backed up before using it. Start
Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.

Unfortunately I was only able to go back a few days with System Restore. I
am not sure why I only had such a limited history of restore options?

Unfortunately Macafee appears to use scripts also, so just get a blank box
when I start Macaffee?

Try the steps given on this page - specifically the regsvr32 commands

The new window that you open in Internet Explorer displays a blank white
page
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902932

You'll need to run them from an elevated command prompt in Vista.
[Right-click shortcut to cmd.exe> Run as administrator ]

Do you happen to be dual booting with Windows XP as that setup can wipe out
restore points. Other than that, it's possible there isn't enough space on
the hard drive for more restore points or, if you have any disk cleanup
utilities, they could be wiping out restore points as well.

As to the rest or your issue, see Jon's post in this thread.
