games on aol 9.0 optimized disk

I can not play the games on the aol 9.0 optimized disk. I get a message that
says "This game requires Microsoft Java Virtual Machine. Internet Explorer is
using an alternative JVM. Please check the default JVM settings in control
panel." How do I do this so that I can play the games?
