hi
I have used Messenger for several months and it works great
more options I know what to do with
but I have used games option,
played with friends from Paraguay works good most of the time

I downloaded messenger from this link, think its the latest
http://download.live.com/?sku=messenger
I sent the link via messenger to my friends
and they then downloaded,
but they did not get it with the games options, well so say

are some options restricted to certain regions ?
thanks
fritz

Greetings Fritz,

Yes what games are available within the games list will depend on what locale/country they
have set themselves to in their Windows Live profile.

In some regions, the option may not even exist, although I'm not aware of one off hand.

There is another possibility. If Messenger can't connect to its configuration service when
it connects, it won't be able to download the necessary information to setup the games list
and the item would then not display. You can find out quickly if this is the case by simply
asking them if they're seeing advertisements anywhere, as the ads will not be shown either.

Hi,

Got it. Also, if you do determine it is their locale (which you can freely change by the way
to another country to solve this problem), I wouldn't mind hearing which one it is where it's
blocked.

Finally, the direct link to view/edit your locale information is:
