GAV Tool Access Denied More Information!

I just tried again unsuccessfully to install the GAV tool. Again, it failed,
but this time I looked at the generated WGA.log file. This is what I found
near the end:

27.641: CleanupTrustedInfFile: GetFileAttributes for
C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}\oem71.cat
failed: 0x2

The reason it failed is that there is no oem71.cat file in that directory
(there are a load of other oem files but NOT oem71.cat).

Is this what is generating the Access Denied message, simply a missing file?

Can anyone else confirm this?

Is this the KB892130 WGA tool that you are trying to install?
If so- read all the posts in KB892130 Failure: Another Solution on Page 2-
It worked for me-
