microsoft update installed the jpeg processing (GDI+)
security update on my system, but we use the corel
wordperfect suite. the colors and graphics portion of the
corel suite no longer functions properly.

is there a way to uninstall the GDI+ ?? it does not show
up for $uninstall$ in my c:\windows subfolder, but i am
sure it is installed, because the win update site shows it
to have been installed.

is there another way of fixing the problem?

bill,

According to
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms04-028.mspx

" Removal Information

To remove this security update, use the Add or Remove Programs tool
in Control Panel.

System administrators can also use the Spuninst.exe utility to
remove this security update. The Spuninst.exe is located in the
%Windir%\$NTUninstallKB833987$\Spuninst folder. "

Have you checked the files of the update versus the files installed
on the system ? Since you haven't specified which version of Windows
you're running it would be best to check the Security Bulletin page
link . Choose the version of Windows you're running under
Security Update Information to see the files. Then locate them on
your system, right click, choose Properties, then click the Version
tab .

Have you installed this update also ? :
