I am not sure if this is the most appropriate way of giving feedback, but it
is the only one I can find.

AMD Athlon 3700+, 1GB memory
Windows Vista Business
1280*960 resolution
Windows Classic theme

- "Multiple sign in" feature does not work with Xbox Live sign-ins, one of
the most logical uses for the feature

- Custom emotes don't display (even with the option turned on) through
shortcuts

- The background colour of each contact's doesn't seem to work properly (my
friend's is green despite him not actually choosing green) - related to
status?

- Sending pictures seems overly complex compared to previous versions when
sending to a contact also on 9.0. Previous versions can have images dragged
and dropped into the main window and accepted as a normal file still. With
another 9.0 contact, however, "photo sharing" is opened and reduces my
visible text area down to approximately two lines of speech. I have not been
able to really work out how to open pictures quickly and easily this way.

- Choosing a background image does appear faded behind the conversation
window, but so, also, does the text in the window (rendering the point of the
faded background useless - bug?)

- The conversation box expands further across the screen than the text input
box, visual inconsistency.

- The fonts used in the tabs in the options menu do not adapt to the
system's defaults. Inconsistency.

- Enter/return no longer sends a handwritten message.

- "My Email Inbox" from right clicking the messenger icon in the tray no
longer uses Internet Explorer, rather, it uses the default browser. Intended?

Subjective/Personal dislikes

- The display images are now on the left side, which is a visual annoyance
having been used to it being on the right side for years

- Too much space is wasted. With many windows open at once and often not
needing the window for more than to talk to someone, it seems very
inefficiently laid out.

- The style and layout seems much more Aero orientated and does not account
for a more classic windows look

- The tops of the conversation window are rounded, whereas the bottom is
"square"

- The conversation box, in the window, is very small even when the window is
expanded, an issue related to the layout of the window

- It would be nice to be able to ignore other people's settings and,
instead, to be able to colour the windows how you want them coloured

The main issue I have is with the significant change from the current
version of Windows Messenger. Over the years there have been changes but they
have generally all kept the same look of previous versions and can be mostly
customised as such to look like them. For instance with pictures, my contacts
and I have learned very quick and efficient ways to send pictures already. I
think that it is not for a messenger service to provide all the services
(such as the photo application) but facilitate users to do things they want
to (like drag-dropping files)

I am aware that this is Beta and that some, or all, of the above things are
already fixed or being worked on. I hope, however, that any issues outlined
above that are not noticed already may be of some use.
