general question re WU and Vista SP1

I recently noticed a new window popping up during the time WU is updating.
I see an 'extracting file' of something like that. I assume this is WU ...
or not?

I'm asking because I never noticed it before. Has something changed or am I
seeing another program 'extracting'? Just wondering. Thanks, DH

Are you referring to Automatic Updates or when running Windows Update
manually?

I never saw a little pop up window before when WU works - either
automatically or manually.

Has there been a change to the way WU works? Thanks, DH

I don't think anything's changed, Dave. IOW, you prolly never noticed that
little window before (though knowing the update you were installing at the
time would help).
