Genuine Validation tool(KB892130)did not install.Error Code:0x8007

Error Code: 0x8007007E Windows Genuine Validation tool (KB892130) did not
install
I know why: I had deleted (KB892130) from the registry as well as all
entries of LegitCheckControl.dll and wgacustom.dll and the equivalent files
in Windows were deleted. I also deleted the entries in the log file referring
to above.
Why I did the above. a week ago I formatted the HDD and reinstalled Windows
XP home SP2. Windows Correctly identified my legit copy of Widows. Since SP
was added as well as other updates. It did the same for all Microsoft Office
updates SP3 and others. All that is until I tried to install some plug-ins.
Now suddenly The validation assumed I was no longer legit. Deleting this
validation in the Add/Remove programs was not possible. So I did the above
deletions based on a google search. So now what? since based on this error I
won't be able to update again.
