How to get Automatic updates to use the update files we've downloaded in our repository?

Hi there

We have downloaded a whole host of update files [2GB worth] into a
central repository and we now need our machines to sift through that
repository for the updates they need; a whole bunch of PCs are at
different stages of updates, so is there a way to "simply" get a PC to
look in that folder and automatically know which updates to run?

Or, if we run automatic updates, will it say "you need this file and
that file" and then we can say "don't download them, we have them
already, look over here for them" ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

'whole bunch of PCs...' defined would be?
How did you 'download a whole host of update files...'?
A few more details might help us help you - but in general...

WSUS is probably what you are looking for.
