I get a error on the computer

I try to get up date from Microsoft Window and get a error #: 0x80248011
and tell me to go to page that do not tell me how to fix the problem. I am
new to the computer that I have. Can you help me to get it working right,

0x80248011 error code
To resolve this error, clear the Microsoft Internet Explorer cache. To
do this, follow these steps:
1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. Click the General tab.
4. In the Temporary Internet files section, click Delete Cookies.
5. In the Delete Cookies box, click OK.
6. Click Delete Files.
7. Click to select the Delete all offline content check box in the
Delete Files dialog box, and then click OK.
8. In the History section, click Clear History.
9. Click Yes, and then click OK

Try this fix it worked for me. I got it from a post back in 2004

Hi,

To fix this error 0x80248011. try the following in the command prompt. The
steps to follow are given below.

Click on Start -> run -> type command "cmd" and command prompt will appear.
After you are in command prompt try the following commands.

1) net stop wuauserv
2) cd /d %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
3) rd /s DataStore
4) net start wuauserv

Try to run windows update after these steps and let me know if this helps.
