how to get Microsoft GP run under Vista?

After installation of GP on new pc under Vista, it does not execute Gp and
instead prompt for executing Microsoft GP Utility, but end up program not
responding.

I used to follow the same steps in Windows XP which work.

Have you tried to launch it in WinXP compatibility mode ?
(Properties -> Compatibility tab -> select WinXP with SP2)

You can also try to run as administrator - to show if will work.
