I turned off my UAC (user account control) and now i haven't found
single game that doesn't work in my computer. I have Windows Vista Hom
Premium. Thought this information could be useful

I have UAC on, and I have yet to find a game that doesn't work correctly in
Vista.

Go figure.

Same here, 64bit Vista, UAC turned on, and not one game refusing to run.
This is in the two years I've been running Vista.

Patrician.. can I go so fart to say then that then most games that are ok'd
for Vista on the box.. will run one Vista 64 too? I've been holding off
because when i look at the Microsoft compatibility page it says most games
are not compatible with Vista 64.

Well 64-bit on the HTPC, which is currently not starting up correctly,
can't get the stupid thing to stop using 59Hz instead of 60Hz.

32-bit on my main system, which I do the majority of the old skool gaming
from.

Or you can leave UAC on, and just do not install your games into C:\Program Files folder.
Install 'em somewhere else and UAC will not bother you ever.
