get rid of invite?

Some time ago I got an invite to join someone's live page or network or
something.
I don't use it & do NOT wish to use it.
I refused the invite but I am forever getting this invite reminder popping
up in my Messenger window.
Please tell me how to get rid of this invite & how to delete my "live"
profile.
I just wish to use messenger. (plain jane version)

If you don't actually go through and decline the invitation, it will "come back". If so, are
you sure it's not a new one?

Also, there is a long-standing bug of informing you that there is an invitation waiting when
there's not - if you're just going by the count.
