How to get updates information without WUA or WSUS?

I want to collect information about updates without WUA or WSUS. How i can to
get something similar to package.xml from Wsusscan.cab that is used for
offline scanning for updates. Is there any way to get this information?
Also i want to get information about updates which are not supported by
WSUS, for example, updates for Office 2000. How can i do it?
