GetFileVersionInfoA?

At seemingly random times, and often when logging in or
switching users, I get the following message:

"The procedure entry point GetFileVersionInfoA could not be
located in the dynamic link library VERSION.dll."

What does this mean?

Should I be concerned?

How do I fix the apparent problem?

Enlightenment appreciated.

Best regards to all.

That's a normal export from version.dll - are there multiple versions of
version.dll on your system? Offhand I would suspect that you have multiple
copies on your system somehow, and one is either a really old version or not
actually the Microsoft version.dll at all. (Could be a third party dll with
the same name, but may be being picked up by some application...)

I have no idea. I'm a pretty low-tech guy, so I don't even
have any idea where to look.

I take comfort from your post, hoping that the tone suggests
that this is not something I should worry about.

Thanks.
