Getting Access Violation Error

I'm trying to get Net Nanny internet filtering software to install on my
computer and I'm getting an access violation before it totally completes the
install process. I have messed around in my registry and may have done
something that is now causing me to have trouble with this particular
program. I'm using Vista 64 bit with Internet Explorer 8 and have had Net
Nanny working on the computer before. The error window says: Runtime Error
(at 190:1485): Access violation at address 05E4B2EF. Read address of
00000000.

They're not helping much. This type of error is common with other programs
also so there is a solution to it. I'm just hoping someone can help with it.
