Getting ActiveSync to sync Outlook 2003 Offline Contacts in .pst f

I am running Office Outlook 2003 with SP1 in a domain environment using
Exchange. My default Contacts appear on the Exchange server under my
username. I would like to store my contacts offline, on my local machine in
a .pst file with high encryption for security. I have the .pst file view
opened in
Outlook and I can see all the contacts just fine. However, I am trying to
get ActiveSync 3.8 to sync with those offline contacts. ActiveSync will
only sync with the "default" contacts, which are the ones on the Exchange
server.

How can I designate the offline .pst as the default contacts location so
that I can sync them with my PocketPC?

Thanks!

Hi

I dont think you can do that, but why not enable caching in outlook so all
your contacts are located on the server but are allsoo automaticly
syncronised to your local pc to be availble offline. then your outlook data
are cached in a .ost file. Activesync fully support this solution.

Hi,
ActiveSync does not allow you to choose which contact folder you synchronize
with. This is by design. If you need to choose the folder of contacts you
want to sync with, take a look at Intellisync from www.pumatech.com
