Getting error 2350 while setting up USB device

I am running XP Pro SP2 with all current updates (I thought). I purchased
Samsung 940UX monitor to take advantage of USB functionality. When installing
monitor I get error 2350. Article 321444 on MS site states error is caused
by outdated installer program.

I downloaded Instmsiw.exe to update install program but when running this
exe I get an error saying wrong OS! I don't understand why I would have
outdated install program as I load all MS updates that come in.

I don't know if this has any effect but I have both Office XP and Office
2007 loaded on the computer but run Outlook 2007.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bonsai Bill,

That KB article *really* needs the links updated. That's an older
Version of the Windows Installer and, most likely, a later V. is already
installed on your system.
The latest Version for XP SP2 and SP3 is here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

Download and save WindowsXP-KB942288-v3-x86.exe from the very bottom of
the above page.
Once the download completes close *all* open programs and browsers.
Now install WindowsXP-KB942288-v3-x86.exe

Did that resolve the isssue, Bonsai Bill ?
