Right click My Computer, click Properties, click Automatic Update tab

Use this tool to delay SP-2 installation until April 2005:

The computer guy says "not to until Microsoft fixes all the bugs"?
I would suggest you find someone competent as your computer guy seems
to have no idea how Service Packs are issued and fixed.
The Service Pack 2 of today is identical to the Service Pack 2
available next year.
Instead of waiting, you should research your hardware and software for
SP-2 issues and prepare the computer before installing SP-2:

There will most likely be updates, patches etc from Microsoft and 3rd
party hardware and software manufacturers but SP-2 will not change.
You need to research the need and applicability of these patches and
updates
If all that is done is wait, you are wasting your time.
