Getting rid of wrongly downloaded updates

I stupidly downloaded the wrong update to my computer

WindowsXP with front page (or something like that)
instead of
WindowsXP Home Edition (2002 Editon)

Now I can't get rid of it and my computer is unable to download all the
necessary updates it should.

Can Anyone tell me how I can get rid of the unwanted unload and get my
computer back to relative normality

Generally you can not install an update that does not apply.
If you manually downloaded the update, simply delete it.

There is no such thing as "WindowsXP with front page".
There is Windows XP Home Edition (operating system)
And
Microsoft Office XP

If you have any Microsoft office components such as Word, Excel, Publisher
etc, you may need some updates that appear as if they are for Microsoft
Office.
If the update downloaded and installed automatically, you probably needed
it.
