getting songs on portable devices

How do i put songs on my MP3 i try dragging them in , to eaither audio player
folder or SD/MMC card(dont no what that is??) but it just dosent work and it
actually deleted songs from my mp3 for some reason i cant even see what i
have on my mp3, add songs, delete songs i serously need help step by step
PLEASE!!!

If you're transferring them to a storage card, you need a card reader...
that's either already built into your desktop or notebook or you get card
reader hardware.

If you're trying to transfer MP3s to a portable device, try telling us what
portable device you own. Each has different software. Alternatively, have
you tried reading the owner's manual that came with the product?
