Getting the updates

Dear Sirs:

For the last several years, I have not been able to get to that site. It
will say "Can not find server", etc. A few days ago, I tried to get in just
for fun. That time, I got an error message, so I tried HTTPS instead of
HTTP. It worked. Now, I again get "Can not find server" even with HTTPS.
Why is that happening to me?

- What site?
- Is this a personally owned machine?
- How does this machine connect to the Internet?
- Residential service (home) or commercial (through those you work for)?
- Through a router/NAT device?
- What operating system?
- What service pack is the operating system?
- What AntiVirus is used?
- What firewall is used?
- What antimalware scans have been ran?
- What web browser (please give exact version) is in use?
