Ghost Contact cannot be deleted

I know I have posted this question in a different way previously, but I still
have not resolved the problem. When I log in to Windows Live Messenger I can
see my 4 contacts, who are all family members. If I then go to My Space in
Windows Live Space in Internet Explorer and go to the Invite Friends option,
under My Contacts the 4 valid contacts are flagged as Messenger Contacts and
2 are flagged as Spaces Friends which is correct. However there is a fifth
contact showing as a Messenger Contact who is on showing Windows Live
Messenger. It would appear that by contacting this person once from an email
address on a web page the contact has become "locked" into My Space somehow.
I have tried adding it again to Messenger and then removing it, but this only
results in the contact being shown twice in My Space and the "ghost" one
remains after I delete the newly added one. Is the information for this
contact held somewhere on my computer where I can erase it, such as using
Regedit, or is it on the My Space server on the Microsoft website?

Finally I have cracked it. I re-added the contact to Windows Live Messenger
using the full email address. I then deleted it again, also blocking it and
removing it from my Hotmail contacts. In Messenger, it now showed as an
ordinary contact. I then deleted it again and it has now gone from My Spaces.
I needed to do this, as I am changing my email address because ever since
using this particular contact the amount of spam I received has gone through
the roof. I can now continue to advise my trusted contacts of my new address
