Victor,
I don't know but I have found that most of the standard
solutions for solving WU and/or SP2 issues do not work
including official advices. Keep searching on forums like
this one or others on the web. Perhaps MS will come with a
patch soon or somebody else, so uninstalling SP2 in this
very moment might not be the best thing to do. If you
cannot work with your current installation or need certain
programs that won't work anymore, then why not to to re-
install the OS side by side with the current one using
Partition Magic?
