glitch with recent items

When I use a file mit usually shows up under recent items that I can go to
and reopen something quickly. However, I have a set of excel files labeled
psquarter 1 , psquarter 2, psquarter 3. I fi Open and then close psquarter
1 or 2 , it shows up in the recent items. However, whenever I open
psquarter3 it never shows in the recent items. Any ideas as to why most
files that I have opened show up in recent items but this one file doesn't?
